About The Department :

The Department of Information Technology and Business Analytics at IIMT is a vibrant hub where the convergence of technology and strategic business insights shapes academic excellence and industry innovation. Rooted in a comprehensive curriculum, the department offers a diverse range of subjects taught by seasoned experts. Students acquire a holistic understanding of leveraging technology for informed decision-making from mandatory courses like business analytics to specialized subjects, including data warehousing, data mining, software engineering, and relational database management systems. This year's highlight was the visit of Professor Vijayan Sugumaran, Distinguished Professor of Management Information Systems and Chair of the Department of Decision and Information Sciences at Oakland University, Michigan, United States, during the International Conference on Data Science and Informatics, amplifying the event's discourse and enriching the academic landscape. Moreover, overseeing the in-house publication segment, Interscience Research Network (IRNet), the department ensures the dissemination of scholarly works across various technical and management journals, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and elevating the institution's scholarly standing. These collective endeavors enhance the academic rigor within the department and prepare students for the dynamic intersection of technology and business, propelling them towards successful and impactful careers.

Mrs. Pragyan Nanda

B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering), M.Tech, (Ph.D.)

Mrs. Pragyan Nanda has received her Master’s in Technology from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, and B.tech from Jagannath Institute of Engineering and Technology,Orissa in Computer Science. She is currently pursuing her PhD. in SOA University. Mrs. Pragyan Nanda has served as Lecturer in Mahavir Institute Of Engineering Technology , Bhubaneswar and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai. She has contributed to enormous renowned publications in the field of Computing and Optimization, Intelligent Nature-Inspired Computing, Communications and Sensor Network, etc.
