George-Christopher Vosniakos studied Mechanical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and obtained an MSc and a PhD from UMIST-Britainin Advanced ManufacturingTechnology in 1991. He has worked in the CADCAM industry in Germany and as a Lecturer at UMIST. In 1999 he joined NTUA, where he is currently Professor of Manufacturing Systems and director of the Manufacturing Technology Laboratory. He has authored106 Journal papers and over 100Conferencepapers obtaining 2497 Scopus citations. He is member of the editorial board of 6 major International Journals. His recent research interests include AI and VR in Manufacturing.

Prof. Olga Battaïa has a Full Professor position in Department of Operations Management and Information Systems. She obtained her PhD form the École des mines de Saint-Etienne in France in 2007, for which she was granted the Best PhD Thesis Award by the French Research Cluster on Modelling, Analysis and Management of Dynamic Systems. She serves as Associated Editor for several international peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Manufacturing Systems (ELSEVIER), IISE Transactions (former IIE Transactions) and Omega-The International Journal of Management Science. She is also a an Associate member of CIRP (The International Academy for Production Engineering) and a Member of IFAC Technical Committee 5.2. Manufacturing Modelling for Management and Control. Her research interests lie in the domains of Supply Chain Management, Sustainable manufacturing, Operations Research, Combinatorial optimization, Decision Support Systems. Olga Battaïa co-authored about 200 scientific publications, participated in several European research projects and was involved in organizing several renowned international conferences across Europe and other countries. She co-supervised 11 PhD students.

Dr. Rajit Gadh is a Professor at the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science at UCLA, and the Founding Director of the UCLA Smart Grid Energy Research Center or SMERC. He is also Founder and Director of the *Wireless Internet for Mobile Enterprise Consortium or WINMEC. Dr. Gadh’s research interests include Smart Grid, Micro Grids, Electric Vehicle to Grid Integration, Electric Vehicle (EV) and Autonomous Vehicles (AV), Smart Transportation, AI and machine learning in EV and AV management. He has over 200 papers in journals, conferences and technical magazines, and, 5 patents granted. He has a Doctorate degree from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), a Masters from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree from IIT Kanpur. He has taught as a visiting researcher at UC Berkeley, has been an Assistant, Associate and Full Professor at University of Wisconsin-Madison, and did his sabbatical as a visiting researcher at Stanford University for a year. Vijay K. Jain, PhD, earned his BE from Vikram University, Ujjain (MACT, Bhopal), and M. E. and Ph.D. from University of Roorkee (now, IIT Roorkee). He has 47 years of teaching and research experience. He has served as a Visiting Professor at the University of California at Berkeley (USA) and University of Nebraska at Lincoln (USA). He retired as a Professor from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2016. He has also served as a faculty member at other Indian Institutions, namely, MREC Jaipur, BITS Pilani, MNREC, Allahabad and MACT Bhopal. Dr. Jain has won three gold medals, two silver medals and one best paper award as recognition to his research work. The Institution of Engineers (India), Khosla Research Awards committee and AIMTDR conference organizing committee have given this honor to him. He has been awarded Life Time Achievement Award by the AIMTDR (NAC). He has written 9+ books (including edited books) and 16+ chapters for different books published by different publishers. Dr. Jain has been appointed as Editor-in-chief for three international journals (IJPTech, JAMS, JMF), and Associate Editor of two International Journals (JEM and IJMST). He has also served as a Guest-Editor for 20+ special issues of different International Journals and as a member of the editorial board of 12+ International Journals. Prof. Subudhi is a Senior Professor of Management with a total teaching experience of over 35 years. After completing Masters & M. Phil. degree in Statistics, he completed his Ph.D. (in Management), with Senior Fellowship (SRF) from CSIR. He is also an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, where he completed FDPM in 2002. He had his professional training on computer application at IIT Kharagpur and TTTI Chandigarh, (sponsored by Govt. of India). After Serving Berhampur University Odisha for 21 years, he joined VIT University as a professor in 2006, and then came back again to Odisha in 2007 to join KIIT University as Professor of Management. Prof. Avinash Kumar Agarwal obtained his Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering (1994) from Malviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur and his MTech (Energy, 1996) and PhD (Energy, 1999) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. After his Post-Doctoral Fellowship (1999 – 2001) at the ERC, UW, Madison, USA, he returned to India in 2001 and joined IIT Kanpur. He was a Visiting Professor at the University of Loughborough, UK; Photonics Institute, University of Vienna, Austria; Hanyang University and KAIST, South Korea. Prof. Agarwal is interested in research in IC engines, combustion, conventional and alternative fuels, Methanol/ DME/ Hydrogen/ HCNG fuelled engine development, LCA and TCO analyses, Fuel sprays, Lubricating oil tribology, optical diagnostics, laser ignition, HCCI, particulates and emission control, and large bore engines. He has developed laser-fired hydrogen and CNG engines in automotive sizes and developed the first electronic fuel injection system equipped with a locomotive engine for Indian Railways. Currently, Prof. Agarwal is developing Methanol and DME-fuelled engines/ vehicles for the automotive/ agricultural sectors. Prof. Agarwal has published over 510 peer-reviewed international journal and conference papers, 63 edited books, and 129 book chapters, attracting 15200+ Scopus and 23000+ Google Scholar citations. Soumyadip Sett is an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Gandhinagar. He completed his B.Tech. in Power Engineering from Jadavpur in 2011 and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016. Prior to joining IIT Gandhinagar in 2021, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Energy Transport Research Laboratory under the guidance of Prof. Nenad Miljkovic at UIUC, USA. His research interest intersects the multidisciplinary fields of thermo-fluid science, interfacial phenomena, and renewable energy. His research group at IIT Gandhinagar investigates thermal and fluid transport during liquid-vapor phase change for energy and thermal management applications. His research efforts have so far resulted in 48 peer-reviewed journal publications, 1 book chapter, and 2 patents. His research has been recognized with the prestigious Deans Fellowship from UIC in 2015 for outstanding graduate research during his PhD, and Excellence Fellowship from IIT Gandhinagar, among others.

Prof. Krishnan Balasubramaniam has been involved in the field of Non-destructive evaluation for more than Twenty Five years with applications in the fields of maintenance, quality assurance, manufacturing and design. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and also serves as the Head of the Centre for Non- Destructive Evaluation. He received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras (Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirapalli, India) in 1984. He then graduated from Drexel University, Philadelphia, from the department of Mechanical Engineering with a M.S. degree in 1986 and a Ph. D. in the year 1989. Dr. Piyush Shakya received his Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Delhi in 2015. He finished my Dual Degree (B. Tech in Mechanical and M. Tech in Product Design) from IIT Madras in 2006. He worked as “Member R&D” in TVS motor company, Hosur from 2006 to 2010. Prior to joining IIT Madras, He was a Research Fellow in the School of Aerospace, Transport, and Manufacturing at the Cranfield University. His research interests include structural health monitoring, fault diagnosis and prognosis, machine elements (rolling element bearing and gears), and signal processing. Dr. Prabir Sarkar, did his schooling from Kolkata, India, later he took admission for Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with Physics honors. His interest to become an application oriented scientist/engineer and to open up vast possibilities has propelled him to join Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in 1994, just after completing his first year B.Sc. In 1998, he finished Production Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Trichy (formerly known as Regional Engineering College, Trichurappalli). Design was a very interesting subject during his B.E. and he always had flair in it. He have developed many useful mechanical and electronic gadgets at home and perceived that designing is also very challenging. In 1998, he joined Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore for Masters (M. Des.) degree in Product Design and Engineering. After finishing his Masters in 2000, he was interested to apply his knowledge of design for the betterment of our country - he joined Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) as a Development Engineer. BEML has an annual turnover of Rs 400 crores, largest earth moving equipment manufacturing company in the country and runs as a public sector undertaking company. He was working at the R&D centre, the second largest of its kind in Asia. His major contribution at BEML was to play a crucial role in the development of a remote controlled bull dozer for hazardous situations like removing nuclear wastes or in mines. His strong interest for research in design has helped him to join IISc again for higher studies as a PhD scholar. After completing his PhD in the area of Design Creativity, He was briefly working as a Post Doctoral scholar at IISc (IISc junior research associate) and later he joined National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), USA as a guest researcher. In 2011, he joined Indian Institute of Technology Ropar as an faculty in the School of Mechanical, Materials, and Energy Engineering.

Ekta Singla, is serving as Associate Professor and Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at IIT Ropar. With her research interests in Modular Robotics, Service robots, Customized optimal designs, Evolutionary robotics and hybrid morphologies, she has an experience of more than fifteen years in Robotics and in applied Optimization fields. She is a recipient of Institute Gold medal during her Master's program, National doctoral fellowship during her doctoral program at IIT Kanpur, CNRS postdoctoral fellowship for UPMC Paris and a recent National award from Institute of Engineers. Her current research projects are in Maintenance and Service Robotics and in Rehabilitation Robotics, and progressing through industrial partnerships, two UK-India collaborations and active association with the University of Stony-Brook, New York – for the robotic applications is medical and defence field. To enhance the training and learning environment of Industrial Robotics field, she has got signed an MOU between IIT Ropar and TATA Automation Ltd for establishing a robotics research and training centre at IIT Ropar. Her contributions are visible through four completed projects, various journal articles, editorship in reputed journals and contributions for various societies. At IIT Ropar, she has actively taken up the administrative responsibility at various levels related to student affairs, academic affairs and chairing the event organizations. Dr Ekta founded an interdisciplinary group, PUNJRobotics , to focus on academic, professional and innovation-related activities not only at IIT Ropar but to connect many institutes in the regional area.

Dr. Akhilendra Pratap Singh is serving at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi. He received his Master’s degree & and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2010 and 2016, respectively. His research areas include advanced low-temperature combustion (HCCI, PCCI, and RCCI mode combustion); optical diagnostics with special reference to engine endoscopy and PIV; combustion diagnostics; engine emissions measurement; particulate characterization and their control; and alternative fuels. Dr. Singh has edited 12 books and authored over30 book chapters and 60+ research articles in international journals and conferences. He has published several articles in reputed journals like Applied Energy, International Journal of Engine Research, and Journal of Energy Resource Technology and authored three book chapters related to RCCI mode combustion.
