Interscience Institute of Management & Technology (IIMT), Bhubaneswar, was established in 2007 by a group of committed academicians with a mission to provide comprehensive education in management and technology.
From the Academic year 2024-25 IIMT Bhubaneswar imparts two years full time Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program that is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha, approved by AICTE, Govt. of India. Dr. Bishwa Ranjan Das has completed MSc (Mathematics) and PGDCA from Sambalpur University in the year 1995-1997 and 1998 respectively. He has also completed MCA from IGNOU New Delhi in 2009 and subsequently ME (CSE) from Utkal University in 2012. He has been awarded with Ph.D. in Computer Science and IT from Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, Baripada, Odisha, India in 2024. He has more than 24 years of teaching experience with major subjects in Computer Science and Engineering. His research areas are Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics, Machine Translation, Information Retrieval and Sentiment Analysis using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He has published more than fifty research papers, apart from book chapters in various reputed international and national conferences and journals including Scopus, Elsevier, IEEE, ScienceDirect and Google Scholar, and He has attended more than fifty seminars, workshops, FDPs, symposiums, and short-term courses in both online and offline mode at various reputed institutes, colleges, and universities like IIT, NIT, ISI and Central University.

MCA Program Specializations
Master of Computer Applications is a prized degree that can be considered as one of the most desirable amongst the Post Graduate programs available from the point of view of a career in the software industry. The master’s degree in Computer Applications is essentially aimed equipping a student with excellent programming, system and technology related competencies. MCA is two years (4 semesters) professional master’s degree course. This program is approved by All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University, Rourkela. The department has experienced faculty members who play a major role in effective implementation of the teaching learning process and also takes pride in the performance of its students who have brought laurels to the department through their meritorious performances and by securing ranks in the BPUT.
